BloomNet Beefs Up Management Roles

BloomNet, the order fulfillment arm of 1-800-Flowers.com, is reshaping its senior management team with the expansion of three personnel roles.

A veteran of 1-800-Flowers for 16 years, Vincent McVeigh grows with the BloomNet team as senior vice president. His new responsibilities include managing the company's customer service and technology branches. BloomNet President Mark Nance calls McVeigh a proven team leader, and he says that the team will have an added bonus in his familiarity with 1-800-Flowers.

While she is already connected to BloomNet, Denise Kay is moving up to fill the role of vice president of customer advocacy. She has been with the company for almost two years. According Lisa Carmichael of the BloomNet media division: "Denise has ... elevated our customer service team, and now has the responsibility for all day-to-day operations of BloomNet customer service, florist services and technology."

Carmichael, a BloomNet media spokeswoman, assumes the role of vice president of marketing and business development and will manage all print and online marketing, advertising and public relations, among other duties. Carmichael has worked for the company for more than two years.
