Sylvia Cup Winner to Receive $2,500

Designers who are masters of the principles and elements of design, and enjoy camaraderie, the thrill of competition and Palm Springs, Calif., should participate in the Sylvia Cup Design Competition. Spaces are available, and the winner recieves $2,500, an engraved silver trophy, complimentary registration to SAF Palm Beach 2008 and industry and local publicity.
 
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Sylvia Cup is the only live, annual, national floral design competition in the industry. Contestants include designers certified by the American Institute of Floral Designers, winners of state and regional contests, and designers of the year.
 
Two Honorable Mention winners will receive $250 each, and industry and local publicity.
 
The Sylvia Cup is coordinated by SAF's Professional Floral Communicators - International, sponsored by Eufloria Flowers and prize the money is provided by Smithers-Oasis.
 
The competition takes place on Sept. 27 during SAF Palm Springs 2007, SAF's 123rd Annual Convention. For details contact SAF's Jenny Stromann at (800) 336-4743; jstromann@safnow.org.
