1-800-Flowers.com, FTD.com Garner National Rating

1-800-Flowers.com and FTD Group, Inc. ranked among fast-growing U.S. retailers named in a report from the National Retail Federation (NRF), published in STORES magazine.

The list serves to highlight the retail companies that reported the greatest year-over-year revenue percentage growth among private companies with more than $100 million in sales. According to STORES editors, the list "offers a distinct snapshot of the retailing landscape. It looks at the companies that set the pace in 2006 and those that left an indelible impression for an assortment of reasons."

1-800-Flowers ranked 46th on the "2007 Hot 100 Retailers" list, reporting a 16.6 percent increase in revenue, or a $111.1 million increase, bringing its total revenue for 2006 to $781.7 million. The company attributes this increase to growth in online and telephonic revenues, its acquisition of Fannie May Confections Brands, Inc., and the continued growth of BloomNet.

FTD Group, Inc. made NRF's "Red to Black" list, as one of 18 companies that completed the fiscal year with a profit after sustaining losses from the year before. FTD reported its net income for 2006 was $25.5 million, compared to a net loss of $22.6 million in 2005.

FTD, which became public two years ago, attributes its growth to an increase in order volume. The company reported that consumer orders in 2006 totaled 4,508,000 compared to the 4,073,000 orders in 2005.
