Florists Promote Floral Arrangements for Thanksgiving
More than eight out of ten (82 percent) florists promoted their wares for Thanksgiving, according to a 2006 SAF post-Thanksgiving online survey of retail florists. The items they promoted are shown in the figure below. Three-quarters of the shops (74 percent) promoted store-designed floral arrangements followed closely by arrangements designed by the wire services (72 percent). About half (48 percent) marketed customized arrangements while more than a third (36 percent) promoted cash and carry bouquets. Respondents were able to choose as many answers as applied.
