In with the Old and New for APW

When asked which promotions florists initiated for the first time to promote 2007 Administrative Professionals Week (APW)/Professional Secretaries Week, most of the top-ranked methods were clearly "Old School." A quarter of the responding florists reported putting signage in their shop windows, certainly a tried and true method and ranked first by respondents. Respondents ranked e-mailing businesses second, used for the first time by 22 percent of florists. The third through seventh ranked methods were mostly "Oldies but Goodies" — the use of fliers or other printed materials, print ads in newspapers or magazines, direct mailings, face to face callings and phone contacts.
