LIFE AT WORK
Make APW Sales Soar

With Administrative Professionals Week (APW)/Professional Secretaries Week fast approaching (April 20-26), E-Brief editors are collecting ideas for drumming up business that we can share with readers. Two that recently came our way:

Retailer Paul Brockway, AAF, of Conklyn's Florist in Alexandria, Va., says the shop is ramping up its e-mail marketing efforts to corporate clients and "promoting items at a lower price point than usual."

Lou Lynne Moss, AAF, AIFD, PFCI, of The Flower Shoppe in Pratt, Kan., uses the holiday to encourage repeat visits. She attaches a small coupon to all APW arrangements that reads, "Thanks for a job well done" and doubles as a coupon for a free refill if they bring the vase back into the shop. She says she also likes to attach a promotional item to the arrangements, "like a printed flower highlighter in five colors to add to the flowers," Moss explains. Four-inch blooming plants in brightly colored ceramic flowerpots are another favorite option for the week at her shop.

Have any ideas for increasing APW sales? Send them our way, so we can share them with readers in next week's issue.

And, if you're looking for ways to market your floral business for APW/Professional Secretaries Week, look no further than SAF's Business-to-Business materials, available online. The materials help you promote SAF's Impact of Flowers and Plants on Workplace Productivity Study, which proves flowers and plants in the workplace increase productivity and inspire better business ideas.

Try SAF's downloadable resources like a library of B2B sales tools, promotional ideas, a sample press release and radio scripts. It's all just a click away!
