Reader's Digest Digs Flowers, Florists
Reader's Digest knows how to simplify things (condensed stories, compact departments) and its Web site wants readers to simplify their summer party festivities with the help of florists.
"A florist can substitute for a decorator and make an impact," reads the online article "Take the Party Outdoors! 15 Great Ideas for Summer Fiestas." Great Idea No. 7 points out that the capabilities of florists "go far beyond arranging flowers in vases" and recommends recruiting a florist to the party's theme-team to carry the idea throughout every tabletop and appetizer tray. To keep it cool in the tropics (or your steamy suburbs) the florist might "wrap fragrant climbing vines around the poles" to create a canopy, the article reads.
