In the spring of 2022, TESOL Italy organized a series of webinars in collaboration with and in support of TESOL Ukraine titled Sharing Contexts Across Cultures. Each week, two webinars were organized, one by TESOL Italy and one by TESOL Ukraine. The themes ranged from trauma-informed teaching to the importance of oracy development to comparisons of educational systems and teaching practices in the two countries. In her responses to the interview prompts, Iryna defines leadership in terms of making changes to the educational system in Ukraine, and she shares her account of creating a National ESP Curriculum for Ukraine as well as a textbook that facilitates the application of the innovative concepts in the new Curriculum.
