VCTC Welcomes New Intercity Bus Fleet

The Ventura County (CA) Transportation Commission (VCTC) recently welcomed its new fleet of 14 intercity buses from Motor Coach Industries, purchased with state Proposition 1B funds. The dedication event also included the unveiling of the new branding of the service as “VCTC Intercity Bus.” Amenities on board the bright blue vehicles include high-back seats, foot rests, LED reading lights and electrical outlets. Pull-out bike storage trays, in addition to front-mounted bike racks, allow for the safe transportation of at least four bicycles. VCTC Executive Director Darren Kettle, holding scissors, joins local and regional officials at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
