Kansas City Launches Combined Bike + Bus Pass

The Kansas City (MO) Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) recently partnered with BikeWalkKC to introduce a new combination pass that lets riders check out a bikeshare bicycle and ride a bus using just one pass.

“KCATA is committed to looking beyond buses to connect people to opportunity,” said KCATA President/Chief Executive Officer Robbie Makinen. “By partnering with BikeWalkKC to provide a combined bike and bus pass, we are helping people make easier choices while having more access.”

Eric Vaughan, director of bike share and business services at BikeWalkKC, added, “Including bikeshare access for no additional cost will provide convenient, healthy transportation alternatives for riders."

The Bike + Bus Pass allows unlimited 60-minute bikeshare rides and local bus rides for an entire month. Interested riders can purchase the pass online here.
