Warm Springs: BART's 'Crown Jewel'
Grace Crunican, general manager, San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), and BART Director Tom Blalock joined hundreds of city leaders and community members to celebrate the opening of the Warm Springs/South Fremont BART Station at the end of the 5.4-mile Warm Springs Extension. The station, which Blalock called “the crown jewel of the BART system,” is BART’s 46th and, Crunican said, “the pivot point where we head down to Santa Clara County” to connect with future Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority service.
