FTA Releases Updated Noise and Vibration Manual
FTA has released an updated version of The Transit Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment Manual, originally published in 1995, which outlines procedures for predicting and assessing the noise and vibration impacts of proposed public transit projects as part of its environmental review process.
This third edition includes clarifications to existing policy and updates to outdated references where applicable but does not change the assessment procedures. The edition, only available online, includes internal links to allow readers to move more easily between sections.
