Register for Transit CEOs Seminar: Three Days, Three Themes
APTA has announced that the activities for each day of the 2018 Transit CEOs Seminar, Feb. 10-12 in Miami, are centered around a specific theme.
Early bird registration for the seminar ends Jan. 5, so plan now to attend this leadership and management event for public transit chief executives and deputy CEOs.
Opening day of the seminar, Feb. 10, is devoted to “Leadership and Policy Development: Planning an Integrated Approach,” including a roundtable with leaders of the Business Member Board of Governors and Transit Board Members Committee and a peer-led leadership development session.
The schedule for Feb. 11, “The Future of Mobility: Developing an Implementation Action Plan,” offers a panel discussion on the opportunities associated with new transportation technologies such as driverless vehicles; a luncheon with federal government representatives; and several sessions devoted to keeping up with changes in the workforce culture.
“Enterprise Risk Management: Funding, Safety, and Cyber Security: A CEO’s Primary Responsibility” is the theme for Feb. 12, covering such topics as legislative and regulatory issues, coping with cyber security and terrorism concerns and ways public transit can support community investment.
