Vice President Biden Visits Detroit DOT

Vice President Joe Biden spoke with Detroit DOT bus driver Brian Miller during his Sept. 17 visit to Detroit. Biden joined Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan at Detroit DOT headquarters to welcome the last four buses in an 80-vehicle order, which means the agency has enough buses running to meet its schedule for the first time in two decades. [More]

Feinberg Appears Before Senate Commerce Committee on Confirmation

In testimony at her Sept. 17 nomination hearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, FRA Acting Administrator Sarah Feinberg described the agency's role in making sure U.S. railroads "transport [passengers] safely to their jobs each morning, to their homes and families each night and to deliver goods and products safely every day." [More]

Torrance, CA, Breaks Ground for Regional Facility

The city of Torrance, CA, recently broke ground for the Torrance Transit Park and Ride Regional Terminal, a facility that will feature eight bus bays and a park-and-ride lot and is designed to pass LEED certification. [More]
