Caltrain Accepts Toy Donations on 'Holiday Train' in Silicon Valley

Caltrain commuter rail, San Carlos, CA, partnered with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in early December to collect toys and books through its annual Holiday Train event. The train, decorated with more than 75,000 lights, made 20-minute stops at each of nine Caltrain stations over a weekend. Guests could sing with onboard carolers and the Salvation Army Christmas Brass Ensemble and meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and other favorite characters including Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Caltrain partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program and the Salvation Army’s Season of Giving for the toy and book donation.
