Flint MTA Dedicates New 'Your Ride' Center

The Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) in Flint, MI, opened its latest service center for Your Ride paratransit vehicles with a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 16 in Davison, MI.

MTA noted that the new facility is larger than previous service centers because it covers two towns in the service area, as well as surrounding townships. The garage can hold 21 paratransit vehicles from ElDorado; the 7.2-acre property also includes two covered fueling tanks, one for propane and one for unleaded gasoline, and a backup IT server room and generator.

“The need for transportation services in our community continues to grow. This new, expanded facility provides us the opportunity to meet current and future needs in the Davison, Davison Township, Richfield and Otisville areas,” said MTA General Manager/Chief Executive Officer Ed Benning.
