Safe Fleet Acquires Roll-Rite

Safe Fleet, a provider of safety and productivity solutions for fleet vehicles, announced its acquisition of the Roll-Rite group of companies, which offers OEM and aftermarket safety products including automated and semi-automated tarping systems, motors, controls and tarps for a variety of vehicles.

John R. Knox, Safe Fleet chairman, president and chief executive officer, said the two companies’ “products and technologies are highly complementary” and noted that the addition of Roll-Rite’s three Service & Install Centers brings the number of Safe Fleet’s U.S. field locations to six.

Roll-Rite President Brad Templeman said, “Joining Safe Fleet validates Roll-Rite’s intent to maintain our leadership position in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art automated tarp systems for the global heavy-duty trucking market while also providing a catalyst for growth we could not achieve on our own.”

Current management of Roll-Rite will continue, with the business going forward and operating as a separate Roll-Rite entity within Safe Fleet.
